Friday Fun...Being Mom{me} means...

Tomorrow my little boy will be one.  I've been working on writing my kids' birth stories {just to have}...his was emotional to write, so I decided I needed to lighten things up today...especially since I'm having one of "those" days.

I've read several posts lately about mommy mishaps, things kids do, what being a mom is all about, and so forth.  So, here's my "take" on being a mom{me}...

Being Mom{me} is...
sitting down to paint your nails, only to have a total of 60 other toes and finger nails to paint first.

Being Mom{me} is...
panicking at the sweet sound of silence, because it is NOT nap time or quiet time...it can only mean a two year old up to no good.

Being Mom{me} is...
having an entourage of little people by your side when you just wanted to go to the bathroom alone.

Being Mom{me} is...
being {a little} relieved all the kids are in the bathroom with you rather than utilizing that time to get into mischief.

Being Mom{me} is...
allowing the two year old to empty the dishwasher, hey it's one less chore for mom to do...even if it looks like this...

Being Mom{me} is...
not understanding why the delivery man at your door is looking at you like you're an alien, until you close the door, see yourself in the mirror, and are reminded that your 6 year old daughter had just done your hair and makeup.

Being Mom{me} is...
driving 5 extra miles just to get to a Caribou coffee or Starbucks with a drive-up window so that you can indulge in a coffee without lugging all the kids in with you.

Being Mom{me} is...
driving in the car without kids, singing along with the radio...only to realize you're listening to Kids Place Live.

Being Mom{me} is...
feeling like you need to let the Target employees and security personnel know that you're not plotting trouble or doing anything wrong {as you slowly walk up and down every single aisle ALONE}.  You are just taking full advantage of every quiet minute shopping at Target without your children and spouse.

Being Mom{me} is...
having a little one "sneak attack" you, hitting the delete key while you're trying to finish a post!

Happy Friday, all!
