Freezer Paper Stenciling {not for everything}

So, you may have noticed...I love freezer paper stenciling!

Seriously.  I love it!  It's easy to do, even the kids like to do it.  And, you can do it to almost anything...

I've freezer paper stenciled things from shirts to rugs.

Recently though, I discovered it doesn't work too great on some things...{OK, this was spraying, which I've done before with awesome results}.

Like "cheap" cotton tote bags from Michael's...

Maybe it was the weave or cheap "crusty" material?  The freezer paper just would not adhere to the material the way that it typically does.

So, my paint "bled".

Sadly I was doing this for part of a gift...it didn't turn out too well.

The recipient was six, so hopefully it didn't bother her too much.  I ended up having to try and "redeem" my project by filling it in with fabric markers.

Oh, well...you win some you lose some. Right?

  1. I love when people post the projects that don't so great. It makes me feel better about my own craft loses.
